Highschool of the Dead

Written by moshi moshi meev on July 16, 2010 – 4:07 am -

If you’re not watching this show right the fuck now, you probably should be. Our own Kami-sama Carlton has been a fan of the manga for ages, and apparently even I have read the first volume a while back (I didn’t even realize it until I tried reading it again and was like, “wait, I’ve seen this before :|”), so we’re going to count down a few reasons why this may be one of the hit anime of the summer season.

highschool of the dead 001 Highschool of the Dead

  1. high school girls – remember high school? remember how fine all that jailbait was? wait… you’re still in high school? well then remembering how hard your dick gets for the mean bitch in geometry who sprinkles pencil shavings all over your finely pressed flame-print shirt should be no problem for you.
  2. zombies - while I’m personally not a fan of them as they are essentially overripe old people who’ve escaped from their local Cracker Barrel, the undead are in these days. and you, with your pathetic social record, want to be cool, right? hell, you’re probably one of those losers who thinks he or she would survive a zombie apocalypse and you probably take joy in thinking the mean bitch from geometry will soon be crawling back to your sweaty feet for forgiveness and safety from the zombie masses.
  3. big bouncing boobies - SO MANY GODDAMN JIGGLY TITTIES. if you don’t believe me, you should probably read a few quotes from the director’s interviews yourself.
  4. ???
  5. PROFIT

It’s enough to make you hope for a zombie gangbang or something. Okay, maybe not to that extent unless you’re also a frequenter of gurochan, but I say if you’re reading this, then you must be really bored and in need of a show this season to wait for every week (other than Digimon Xros Wars), and Highschool of the Dead may just be the hole that was made for you—DURRR DURRR DURRR

Kpop fans are bloody crazy.

Written by Hazukashi Kly on December 11, 2009 – 1:15 am -

Alright so we all know that Kpop fangirls can be a little psycho. (a little?) Bitches bought stock into a Korean entertainment company just so Super Junior wouldn’t get a new member AND managed to make 2PM’s leader, Park JaeBeom, straight up gtfo 2PM and Korea entirely with their ridiculous lurking/intimidation powers. These ladies take their idol groups VERY seriously.

There are a few fangirls, though, who have decided that being crazy bitches as a group just isn’t enough. They want to be personally recognized for their “dedication” to the stars they love. In order for this to happen, you know they had to up the crazy meter a notch, and you better believe these girls gave it everything they have… Bodily Fluids and all. ….Yeah, you heard me. BODILY FLUIDS.

dbs1dljqv2iccam6o2xr Kpop fans are bloody crazy.

IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH, YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO KEEP READING. I’M JUST SAYING. SHIT GETS GROSS.

Still reading? Thought so.

So, a couple weeks ago, toward the end of November, a member of a Korean 2PM fan forum decided to post a letter she had written for 2PM member Ok TaecYeon (see above gif). Seems normal enough, right? I would now like to include the fact that this letter was written in blood. Her own blood. Now it’s creepy, BUT IT GETS BETTER. It wasn’t just any old blood. This fucking girl wrote the letter in period blood. Then she sprinkled pubes on top for good luck or some shit.

I really wish I was joking, but I’m not.

20091128 taecyeonfanletter full1 Kpop fans are bloody crazy.

It says “I dedicate to Taecyeon my period blood letter.Ok Taecyeon, You cannot live without me. Sprinkled with a few strands of my pubes”

Yes, this is real life. A bunch of people on the forum proceeded to call this out as a fake, so the poster of the letter got offended that anyone would dare deny her insanity and started posting pictures of her bloody pads/panties.. which I’ll spare you of because well.. they’re gross.

So everyone talks about this for a couple weeks and then some other girl decides that she’s just plain insulted by period blood girl and decides to show her how it’s done. Because I mean, if you’re going to write your favorite pop-star a letter in blood there’s obviously a formula that needs to be followed.

The new girl posted on a forum for popular new rookie group, MBLAQ, dedicating her bloody love for MBLAQ’s leader, Lee Joon.

Before posting the actual letter the girl said, “What up with Ok Taecyeon period letter? If you’re gonna do one, at least do it right. How dirty. Period blood? Act your age. Don’t do that, but do it right. Do it right. Copying that lady who wrote that period letter”

20091209 leejoonblood2 Kpop fans are bloody crazy.

This one says “Lee Chang Sun ( Lee Joon’s real name) don’t forget me, you are everything to me. I love you. Remember that. Soojin”

Sooo while blood from her fucking slit wrist may not be as gross, it’s a lot more dangerous and maybe even kind of creepier?

And there you have it. Kpop bitches be trippin balls, and I really don’t know what to say about it other than WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THEIR DEAL?

P.S. tl;dr I know, but I just got out of “end of the semester paper writing mode” and couldn’t help it! ;A;

My Lovely Sam-Soon

Written by Sukiyaki Sam! on November 27, 2009 – 11:42 pm -

My name is Kim Sam Soon

Hey Guys! Sukiyaki Sam here.. and.. well I do believe this is my first official review/blog on the new site. Yeah yeah, I know I’m a lazy bum! But to start things off I wanted to do a review on a Korean drama that I just got done watching called My Lovely Sam-Soon or also known as My Name is Kim Sam-Soon. It previewed in 2005 with really high ratings, and I can definitely see why. I watched it on Dramafever.com (a great site for korean dramas). There are only 16 episodes, so it’s pretty short as far as kdramas are concerned, but I’m glad it didn’t drag on forever because even the best of stories can get pretty redundant sometimes.

The main plot was about Kim Sam-Soon, a single 30 year old patissier (pastry chef) who is “overweight” (yeah right) and hates her old fashioned name. The show starts off showing her boyfriend of three years cheating on her and the ending of their relationship. Through a couple turn of events she meets Sam-Shik , a pretty ridiculously attractive 27 year old millionaire, and begins to work for him at his newly opened restaurant. Sam-Shiks mom begins to pressure him into finding a wife so him and Sam-Soon draw up a dating contract to get her off his back. Soooo what’s the plot you ask? they get together right from the beginning.. thats not very eventful, right? Wrong. They aren’t really dating, nor do they even like each other. For Sam-Soon the benefit of this contract dating is she gets 50,000 dollars out of it, money that she will use to save her families house. As far as Sam-Shik goes, you can already see the benefits for him.. no one wants their mom setting them up on blind dates a million times a week. To make a long story short the show revolves around them pretending to date, there is a lot of drama considering Sam-Shik’s ex-girlfriend shows back up and tries to get her man back. And all the while Sam-Soons cheating scum bag ex is still trying to win her heart and a one way ticket into her pants even after being engaged to another lady.

Overall I really liked My Lovely Sam-Soon, it was a nice change from all the high school host club romantic comedy dramas (I’m not saying I don’t like those.. because I really reallllllly do). I think the fact that the characters being older had a lot to do with why I liked it so much. I would give this drama a 4 out of 5 rating, it was a great heartwarming story but the last episode was pretty weak and kind of predictable. Well I think that pretty much wraps it up! If anyone has any suggestions of dramas (korean, japanese, chinese, etc..) just drop me and email at weeaboobies@gmail.com and I would be more than happy to watch it and post a review :) Until next time! video game reviewer wanted

Written by tokidoki ty on November 26, 2009 – 3:42 am -

it has come to my attention that we have hardly any updates related to video games…. i don’t care to knowledge myself in video games (except ffxi and harvest moon) — so i’m turning to any visitors available! it’s not like i’m just gonna accept the first loser that contacts us though… you’ll need to be as witty and clever as the rest of the weeaboobies staff. heh heh heh. yeah. we’re witty and clever.
anyway, shoot an email over to weeaboobies@gmail.com if you are very knowledgeable in video games, have enough spare time to post relatively often (once or more a week, preferably) and … you’re a weeaboo? include a link to your facebook, myspace, tumblr or twitter; i’m sure you have at least one of those. also send us an example of a review of a game, or a review of game related news so we can decide if we like you or not. if you don’t receive a reply within a few days, we don’t like you. if you do receive a reply… then welcome to the dick suckin circle, mother fucker.

   ok that’s all.

hollywood meets death note?

Written by tokidoki ty on November 26, 2009 – 3:35 am -

ok, ok, ok. i know it’s “old news” or … been talked about a million times, but this time it’s for real! apparently a hollywood produced death note live action has been thumbs-upped. it’s not going to be released even remotely in the near-future, but there’s two scriptwriters, and three producers already assigned to the movie. nothing really further. the movie was supposedly green-lighted around May of this year, and the interview below was from the past few weeks.
but relating to this, is our dear old boy zac efron. he was asked in a recent interview if he was going to be involved in the movie, cast as light yagami, of course. his response?

“I love Death Note, and we were, kind of, working on it right now. You know, it’s not…it’s definitely not something that would be coming up soon. [Turns to Me and Orson Welles director Richard Linklater] What’s the classic answer, Rick? ‘It’s not on the front burner.’ No, no, it’s something that was … I feel like, regardless of whatever I say, it’s going to be [interpreted by the media to be] my next movie. No, it’s not. It was an idea. Who knows? I had a meeting on it.”

you may hear this for yourself by watching the video below – it begins at about 3:35.

Dir en grey’s new PV Clip

Written by ricky009xx on November 25, 2009 – 4:26 pm -

YouTube Preview Image

Okay so they’re obviously making this like their redemption video. Although it’s a clip, it’s a pretty damn good but visually it seems like a regular PV. Their sound is similar to some tracks on “Withering To Death” with like a quicker tempo and some melody. I’m actually anticipating this PV, but downside is that it’s not getting released till December 2nd :C

I am saddened.

edit by ty::
the name of the single is: Hageshisa to, Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu no Yami

and on this single will be two rerecordings of older songs: Zan, and also Shokubeni

Untitle Vandal(ism) Grace The Beautiful Day from alice nine.~

Written by ricky009xx on November 17, 2009 – 12:29 am -

They’ve done it again! The well-known J-Rock band alice nine. has released another live DVD called “Untitled Vandal(ism) Grace The Beautiful Day”. It’s just your average live performance but the set list is consists of mainly their new shizzle, not saying it’s bad. I’m just not a die-hard A9-er, so to me this DVD is just…ya know, another DVD. The band’s visual appearance has gotten rather toned down and personally I enjoy it, it’s not so…in your face. In the DVD Shou is seen strutting around it this red suede tuxedo ensemble thing. Rather dashing~ The actual performance the band puts on seems to be on point, but as I mentioned I’m not a super hardcore A9 fan. This is something a true fan would enjoy though, it’s got some mild fanservice, a dope performance, and visually pleasing.

The setlist for the DVD is:

01. Graced the beautiful day
02. RAINBOWS
03. www.
04. Seija no parade
05. Kiss twice. Kiss me deadly
06. Haikara Naru Rondo
07. JEWELS
08. Kokan
09. Hana
10. Hyakka ryolan
11. Kowloon – Nine heads rodeo show
12. Drella
13. Mugen -electric eden-
14. Subaru
15. the beautiful name

That’s just a sampler of what I was getting at, so you guys can get the jist of the new DVD. Enjoy!

as if I needed more reason to like Hulu…

Written by moshi moshi meev on November 16, 2009 – 10:43 pm -

This is just going to be a really quick entry to inform anyone who hasn’t noticed, yet, that Hulu streams anime. Oh, what’s that? You already knew that and have already blown it off, believing that the only things they’re streaming are old episodes dubbed in English that you’ve already seen ages ago? Well, you’re wrong, bucko. >:U

The (I believe growing) list of anime Hulu has to offer includes the newest episodes of Naruto Shippuden and Inuyasha: The Final Act. Yeah, I didn’t even know they’re airing a new Inuyasha series based on the last 1 million volumes of the manga until I lurked Hulu, that’s how “newsy” this is to me. :| While the episodes aren’t streamed the day after they’re shown in Japan, they are streamed a week after and with subtitles you can trust a little more than SugoiSupaSenseiSubs.* I suggest that if you haven’t lurked around Hulu at all, yet, you should probably start. They do stream English dubbed anime, too, so if you’re more into listening than reading, they’ve got you covered.

*this name is a work of fiction, any resemblance to an actual subbing group is purely coincidental and, quite frankly, sad
